Comfortable accommodation with breathtaking views of the Ezulwini Valley

Mountain View International Hotel by BON Hotels

Ezulwini means ‘heaven’, and ‘heavenly’ is certainly the motif that dominates the Mountain View International Hotel by BON Hotels. This spacious but compact hotel and conference centre overlooks the Ezulwini Valley and is surrounded by misty displays of marching blue mountains, olive-green valleys and the huge arch of the sky.

Extensive views are everywhere— sweeping panoramas from the dining rooms, vistas over the blue and mauve peaks from every bedroom, sunset skies and slumbering mountains from the terrace next to the sky-blue swimming pool, and even the experience of looking down on the clouds during summer storms.

No wonder the Mountain View International Hotel is a landmark of Eswatini that is familiar to local officials, commercial travellers and visiting dignitaries. It is a favourite holiday destination for international tourists and honeymooners who can bask in the never-ending vistas above the clouds while rubbing shoulders with diplomats and bakaNgwane elites.

Fact Sheet

Despite the overarching scenery, tranquillity and space, this mountain hostelry is only a short distance from the business centre of Mbabane, the political and economic hub of this pocket kingdom.

The Mountain View International Hotel by BON Hotels is also a preferred choice for both local and international conference-goers who can connect to anywhere in the world from the business centre with free Wi-Fi, satellite television and professional business support.

The hotel was built in the hacienda style around the central sparkling swimming pool that reflects the blue heavens and has colonnaded corridors linking the reception areas and rooms. Each room is designed and decorated differently to be personal and unique, from the cool green of the breakfast room to the subtle solemnity of the library. The walls are lined with works of art from local and South African artists to highlight and promote the local culture of Eswatini.

Built in 1955, the hotel has been a family-run establishment until recently, with the new management renovating with careful regard to the hotel’s heritage and traditions. The trademark warm, personal and extremely friendly service has been retained.

For tourists and holidaymakers, the hotel has 58 spacious rooms overlooking the valley—two restaurants and a congenial bar, a fitness centre, a terrace for sundowners, baby-sitting services, room service and a breakfast buffet. The landscaped garden features a giant outdoor chess set. The resort has full wheelchair access.

The staff are trained and experienced in providing advice and access to a number of local activities such as hiking, birding, golf, fly‑fishing, mountain biking, game drives, horse riding and trips to the nearby cultural village.

For official visitors and commercial travellers, the hotel has a business centre with five conference venues, with catering provided either directly by or within the three restaurants. In addition, satellite connections for video conferencing and a fully equipped business support facility with experienced secretarial staff are available.

Every aspect of life at the hotel is dominated by the panoramic views that stretch to the horizon on every side, from the rose-gold sunset in the morning to the dimming of the light at the end of the day as the lights come on in the valley below.
